Composite of reef and stars?

I might be crazy here, but I'm wanting to combine a shallow water shot of a reef (taken at 5 feet) and a shot of the milky way. My vision is to have the milky way as the background, visible through the water if that makes sense. I'm not enormously talented when it comes to editing photos in Photoshop, but I want to try! I have done some research about improving astrophotography and found this article https://www.photographytalk.com/astr...-for-beginners to be a good read. However, it doesn't address the specific topic of combining images in the manner I'd like. If anyone can point me to some additional resources I'd be grateful. Thank you.
