Tunze 9004 set up problems (50hz vs 60hz)

I bought a second hand unused Tunze 9004.000 skimmer for my 32 gal tank.
In our country, electricity settings are 220 V/50 Hz, the skimmer was bought from USA (110V/60Hz).

Fortunately I bought a 20W 110v/220v convertor to avoid frying it before plugging in.

After fiddling with the airline a bit, I left it open completely yesterday.
Currently, it is working but has a high noise level, hence the questions:
1) What is the ideal water level? I set it up with right at osmolator water line mark at the back, should it be higher/lower?

2) Is there a difference between 50 Hz & 60Hz impeller? Would changing the impeller (or other parts) help the skimmer performance?

3) I can see lots of white bubbles forming inside the skimmer, however no foam is present at collection cup. Currently my tank has nearly zero bioload (base rock, not even CUC), is this normal?

4) Should I restrict the airline, or leave it as is? I really do not understand the "breaking in".

I will add photos & videos tonight, I would appreciate your help.

Update : I spoke with the distibutor, they have both the impeller & the block as spare parts, should I ask them to spare one for me?

With a -0- bio load the skimmer has nothing to work on, so yes, normal.
Breaking in is the time it takes to flush any oils left over form manufacture.
Other questions need manufacturers input, or one who owns the same unit.

Is it almost like a clicking/tapping noise? If so, just push it lower in the water, it is probably drawing air in through the front if this is your issue. Typically I run mine with the intake slots about halfway under the surface of the water and it is completely silent.

The motor and impeller are different for 50Hz vs 60Hz, you will have to replace the motor block and impeller for the unit to work properly on 220V/ 50Hz. This is likely the cause of the noise and starting issues.

I have ordered the new motor block & impeller, thanks Roger.
Hopefully, I will be able to use this skimmer, its build quality is just at the top.

I thought I would post an update.

Our distributer shipped & replaced spare parts, I have been very pleased with them.

As for the skimmer, it calmed down, I was able to study last night while it was running.
We have an happy ending here, have a nice day.
