Bubble Magus BM-Curve 5 - Ok for 90-gal SPS Reef?
In the planning stages for a 90-gallon SPS-dominant reef. I've only had ASM skimmers and loved them. However, I need to keep the footprint much smaller. I like the Bubble Magus BM-Curve 5 skimmer but not sure if it'll handle the bioload. Anyone have experience to share on this skimmer?
Been out of the hobby/lifestyle for a few years due to divorce, time and money Hoping I haven't fallen too far behind...lol. Thanks in advance everyone! All input is certainly appreciated. |

A fellow member on here just added one to his SPS/mixed reef tank:
http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...560256&page=42 He and some others recommended it in this recent thread too: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2690030 So far it sounded like solid build quality and a good skimmer. I still don't know why anyone liked ASM skimmers. They were just cheaper EuroReef knock-offs (which were deltec knockoffs) though they functioned just fine. I miss my old ER 8-2... Good luck with the new tank, and skimmer, and lifestyle. |

Thanks for the input! Appreciated! Think I’ll go with the new elite series rather than the older model. Sounds worth the extra $$.

I have used a curve 7 for several years on a 75g mixed reef. Over the years I've only had to replace the needle wheel 1 time. For the money if it fits I'd suggest get the 7
