LED Recommendations for 17g Rimless
Hi,
I am currently looking to build a 17g Rimless. Here is the tank: https://imgur.com/a/HB5pVHU I am looking for budget options on a decent beginner/starter LED light for this. I dont plan on doing anything crazy for now, mostly going to stick with soft corals that are easier. Anyone have any recommendations? Also, any for powerheads for a tank this size? The smallest I have done was a 28g Biocube, so this is newer territory for me. Thank you for the help! |

Chinese black box led. Under $100 for non controllable unit.

IMO a black box/vipar/165w led is too much for a tank that size. You would need to run it very low or raise ot very high to not be overpowering..
Id suggest you stay way under the 100w range.. Id try the Hipargero 78w fixture and enjoy the benefits of far more adjustability/sunrise/sunset,etc..

I second the Hipargero 78w. Awesome light with nice built in controls. Love mine. Just ordered a second one.
