Dinos ?

Will dinos grow with a reading of NO3 at 0 and PO4 at 0.09? I thought both nutrients would need to be on the lower side? NO3 tested with Salifert and PO4 with hanna

I think there is alot of miss informstions about dino in forums that is confusing everyone.
I do not believe dino have direct correlation with po4 and no3.. I have kept reefs in diffrent conditions and never got dino.

Most of the time when reefers think they have dino, they actually have cyano or diatom and cyano..

Dino is much more rare than you expect in home aquaria..

Dino is not presented in aquarium by default that it will show up guaranteed with certain conditions... you bring dino from diffrent system, and once this happen you will have dino given the right condition (high silica, high nutrients...etc)

Dino is actually a type of zooxanthellae, similar to what's on coral skeleton, what coral thrive at will power up the dino..again this is if indeed its dino...

In po4 no3 imbalance conditions you are more likley to get cyano or cyano+diatom which many times confused reefers in to thinking they have dino because it's not red colored..
