What size sump for 300 gallon tank?
Looking for suggestions for sump size for a 300 gallon tank?

As big as you have room for. IMHO, a 120 or larger.

i ran a standard 125g on my 220g... like billdogg said, as big as you can get

You also have to remember, sumps only run around 1/2 full to allow for draining when there is a shutdown.

Agreed with @vinny_Kreyling you only need it to store enough water that when the system stops you are not flooded and enough space for your equipment that will live in your sump. Flow rate has been shown not as crucial as much as back in the day.
