What Bubble King Skimmer
Hello.
I am getting a 85 gallon tank that will house almost all soft corals and a few fish. Since a softie tank thrives under a bit 'dirtier' conditions, I was wondering what Bubble King internal skimmer would be best. I really like the 160mini, but it I don't want it to be overkill for the tank. Would the double cone 130 be a better choice. Also, I want some use of use and dial in. Thanks. |

I’d probably go with the new Double Cone 150 with the RDX pump or even the Double Cone 130 with RDX if you are only going to have a handful of fish. It’s really about the load and a Mini 160 would be inconsistent with a really light load. The DC 150 would probably work OK unless the load is really light where as the Double Cone 130 would thrive with a lighter load.
