Just wondering if any one going has gone to both this and FFM? I'm just wondering how they compare? I live in CT but I may be in the area that weekend.

I go to both of them every year. OSRAS has some of the same vendors with new stuff that wasnt sold at the FFM. Better venue, better speakers, much larger raffle, cheap to get in, dinner available, hotel discounts, free parking. go to http://www.osrasconference2017.com

Not sure I agree with all of that...
The OSRAS is more of a conference than a swap. The FFM has more coral vendors and is really aimed at being the biggest coral swap around. OSRAS looks aims to be more of a speaker/dinner type conference. You will find a subset of the FFM vendors and few new ones at OSRAS, but no where near the number of vendors/corals. Its at a hotel in one of their conference areas so you have more space to walk around.
The speakers at OSRAS are good national quality speakers, who don't come out this way often, which again is one of the focuses there. Not sure I would knock Justin Credible but, each to their own...
The raffle is similar in size with many similar items. Each one has some nice stuff in it, some different stuff and quite a bit of repeats. I would not say that they is a significant difference between them there.
Admission is $10, or $35 if you want dinner. More expensive than FFM, but $5 is certainly not a reason to not go.
My two cents, go if you are thinking about it. Its a different thing than the FFM, smaller and less chaotic, but a nice chance to hear some speakers and see some vendors.

Either way you look at it..OSRAS and the FFM are to two hottests shows every year in the Northeast.. This year the FFM was on March 11th. I was there. OSRAS is on April 23rd. Fitch what is the date for the 2018 FFM?

Oh, Im definitely not knocking Justin Credible..a great speaker and a standout in the marine hobby. Tom from Neptune mentioned that he was bringing Justin with him to OSRAS. Unfortunately we dont have room for him to speak, but Im sure he will be happy to answer any of your questions.

Supporting members admittance is free to the conference, so check your cards to see when your renewal date is. Anyone wishing to become a supporting member can do so now or at the conference.
The Early Bird raffle prices have ended, but card carrying members will still be able to buy tickets at a great price.
