Heliofungia actiniformis mucus?
just started a new tank and was introducing a Heliofungia actiniformis and it was fine for a bit then it retracted and started to make a layer of mucus around itself. I've seen brain coral make mucus but never a healthy helio? all my water parameters are fine and all the pumps and heaters are fine. I did a dip and all that. any ideas are appreciated.

im not sure, but that does not look like a fungia to me
this is a Heliofungia actiniformis on liveaquaria http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/4...&c=597+321+481 looks more like a euphyllia like a torch, hammer, or frogspawn. |
