Radion xr30 gen3 or 2 xr15 gen 3

Hi, I am looking for some help, would you go for 2 x XR15 GEN 3 or 1 x XR30 on a 3ft tank.

one xr15 either side of the tank or xr30 centre of the tank, which would be better for spread etc.

Thanks

I had a g2 over a 40B (3 foot tank) a few years ago and the sides of my tank were a bit dark. I had a centralized rock work so it worked out but now I generally like to use 1 xr30 per 2', that being stated, if you don't have a central rock work i would do the two x15. The ability to spread them apart a few extra inches would be useful.

The two x15’s would give you better spread by allowing you the ability to place them better.

Opted for 2 XR15's over my 2ft shallow cube rather than 1 XR30, definitely haven't regretted the decision, I feel that my light spread is very good within the tank.

When I built my tank I could either go for 3 XR30 or 5 XR15s, went for the 5 XR15s exactly because of was was said above, better light spread...

Gorgeous tank with awesome scaping, by the way! What are your plans for it?

Thanks mate. This is actually a pretty old picture from when the cycle had only just completed. Here's a couple taken this week, going for mixed SPS/LPS.
Currently have a flame angel, two ocellaris clownfish and a royal gramma in there, I'm really having trouble raising nitrates though so have a lyretail anthias and springeri damsel in QT waiting to go in.

I currently have 2 xr30 on my 3 feet. It's a bit over kill but I got a good deal on its used.

I would also vote for 2 xr15 but downside is you'll have to fork out an extra $100 for the arms.
