New tank, old rock... advice?
Hey guys in the process of breaking down my 50g and moving to a larger tank I left the rocks in a vat of salt water but without cycling.
The 50g tank had some issues with higher than desired nitrates. My question is I'm not in a rush and plan on letting the new tank cycling through once it's up and running--is there any need to bleach bath the rocks and scrub them down before this point or can I practically just let die off happen and cycle accordingly?

Not sure what you mean.. or you left something out..
Rocks removed from a tank and left in saltwater are basically already cycled.. Rocks also cannot really absorb/leach nitrates..

Sorry that was terrible, there are some days that it sits out not submerged in water as I was moving stuff around so I think there's die off just wondering if I should clean out or just let it cycle thru?

Well.. What I did with mine in a similar situation is just hit it with the powerwasher then throw it right into the tank to start the cycle again..
Just a good rinse should be all you need..
