Tunze DOC Skimmer 9430 DC

I bought the 9430 DC by Tunze for my 400 Gal water volume. This is a mixed reef heavily stocked with fish and well fed. My previous Monster skimmer had three powerbeads that had worked very well until I had to replace one of the powerbeads and realized the high cost if I have to replace the other two. As you might know the Tunze only has one DC pump. Now this skimmer is about half the size of my previous one. The 9430 DC has one very simple adjustment on the controller and thats it. I still keep on looking for something else to adjust but there is nothing. It levels itself and will not overflow. Any other skimmer you have I guarantee that it has overflowed and made a mess as it has happened to me many times since day one in the reef hobby. Not only is this skimmer producing more consistently but its dead silent. This is truly German engineering at its best, its amazing that they haven't followed all the copycats with a fancy cone or bubble diffuser. Once set there is no adjustments period, just clean the collection cup which comes off by just lifting it and to return it just sit it back on. No twisting or fighting with O rings to seal the collection cup from leaking. For energy consumption its using one third of my other skimmer. If you want quality, efficiency, consistency and a Foolproof skimmer look into the DOC Skimmer DC. The best skimmer I have ever had.
