can i add my cleanup crew?
brand new to this website and the saltwater fishtank world. ive been keeping freshwater fish for two years now. so exactly a week ago i set up a 20 gallon reef tank with a protien skimmer, power head, 20 lbs of live rock, bioballs, ceramic rings, and live sand. i tested the water everyday and nitrite and nitrate were both undetectable. i added frozen mysis shrimp to start the ammonia. but three days ago i had an algae bloom. there is algae over all the rocks and sand and there is still no nitite, nitrate, or ammonia. so can i add a cleanup crew? is my tank officially cycled?

After the Nitrite goes up and then down and the Nitrate goes up, the tank will be cycled. So there's still some time to go. You probably shouldn't add anything until then.
