Best place to buy IO Salt?

Hi all. I'm wondering what the current consensus is for the cheapest place to buy bulk IO salt. Should I wait for black friday sales?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if they still do it, but Rainbow aquarium and pond in Arleta used to do the box of IO for like 35 bucks, by mentioning their craigslist ad.

Happened twice last year. Something like $20-$10 rebate for regular and $30-10 rebate for RC. Forgot exact pricing but it's somewhere around that range . If my memory serves me right, once in may and another in dec. Hasn't happened this year

Thanks for the offer Bean! But I won't be able to make it down to Tustin any time soon. Feel free to spread the love and let others in on your awesome deal

On a side note: Do you ever run into clumping issues with your buckets of salt? I had a 50gal bag clump up on me and, ever since, does not dissolve right/fully.

Sounds like a great deal. Is this a limited time sale?

Need to keep it in a sealed container and try to not get any moisture in it. It'll keep the salt fresh and unclumped .

Usually the salt will pack down too and feels hard. Just scrap at it to break it up before adding to water.

Ah thanks. What type of sealed/air tight containers do people use? I just roll up my 50gal bag after every use and clip it shut...I guess one humid day ruined it.

Just get a food container with an airtight lid.
