Pink Pocilloporo help, please

Hi, reefers. I need some help.

My Pink Pocilloporo has been receding here as of late. I have no idea what is causing this. It is one of the nicer pieces of coral I own. The parameters are:

SG 1.025
Alk: 10.22
Ca: 449
Mag: 1520
NO3 and PO4: 0

I’m using the Red Sea Reef Control Program. I dose automatically to maintain stability. Ignore the system information shown below. It needs changed.

Thanks

Chief out

I would say lack of flow and/or light reaching the underside.

Your alkalinity is also too high for nutrient levels that low IMO.

I remember when zoanthids were called things like "green" and "orange" and not "reverse gorilla nipple."

Current Tank Info: 180g reef with all the bells and whistles

Has you nutrients always been that low? If my numbers hit zero I start to have weird stn from either top or bottom but I don’t normally run zero so it’s a change from the normal.

That's what I was just experiencing - nitrate and phosphate at 0 and some SPS dying via slow tissue loss while others just lost all color...

Yeah I think when it comes to sps the zero nutrient thing has got to go.

Zero N and P is not a good number for any corals.
N being 2-5ppm and P being 0.03-0.07 has always worked well for me.
