Hey Dan. Love the new pics as always. Something I've always admired is that your have grown most of your SPS from frags. That is something only people in the know can appreciate !

Dan,
Had a hard time locating this lime for sale. Where do you buy it from? Any suggestions on how to start introducing Kali in my ato to my reef? My sky has been around 7

I bought a couple hundred pounds a few years ago. I will try to find the source I used and post when I get time. You can use the Bulk Reef Supply kalk if unable to find good grade Mississippi lime.

Dan, beautiful stuff.

It´s always a pleasure to see updates of your tank.

I´m curious about your A. abrotanoides. It looks fantastic in that low tide pic. Is it possible to take a closer shot of it?

Thanks.

Na, Its A. abrotanoides. Just has a bit more color then the ordinary one. The pink is invisible when the polyps are out so I knocked them in for this image. lol

Sooo, I did a bit of research on this. Studied the vernon images of skeleton and colonies and I have to say you were 100% right. It is a A. Robusta. It was sold as a A. abrotanoides from a bali mariculturer and I never looked hard to disprove it until you mentioned Robusta. Good eye bro !!!

Yes, at least on the DT and acropora frag system. I run diodes on soft coral and RBTA grow out, and T5 for LPS as I believe each does best under these light sources.

Dan, you run halides. What temperature does your tank run at. Mine is somewhere in the 79 to 82 degrees give or take 1 deg. Do you have a chiller on your tank? I just wonder if this temp is affecting my PE. All parameters are on target. In my frag tank that is connected I have great PE.
Thanks Mark

79 to 80 has been the shift at the present. Summer months will cause the shift to get a bit larger and range from 79 to 82 with no ill effects observed. PE does not seem to be a very good indicator for temp issues
