Something killing Zoa
Something has been growing on my zoa frag for a few months now. I've tried Coral RX dip a few times and numerous water changes but they aren't looking better.
Attached image shows white skeleton that seems to wrap the whole frag and some new things growing out the top. Can anyone identify the pest and how to get rid of it? |

those are Vermetid snails and they can irritate zoa or any coral with their webs. The way I got rid of them was to remove the rock that was on and take a lighter to it. You can also stab it but make sure to get it at its base when removing it. They are very small and will retreat to the base of tube.

Yup, vermetids. As Diana said, you've really got to dig into their base to kill them.. I use very small needlenosed pliers.
