Esage the bracket that I built (see http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2622878) sits on my 30 inch tank.

I've been struggling with this exact issue lately! I can't believe ATI doesn't offer a solution for this problem.

What do you guys think of using two or three of these?
http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/hms-si...umination.html

For a cleaner look, I didn't want to use the hangers on the ATI fixture so I plan to use the Hydra FiftyTwo Bracket they come with and screw them directly into the top cover of the ATI light fixture by disassembling it (I would use a nut to hold the thru bolt). But I don't know how sturdy or stiff the metal cover of the ATI is. Can anyone tell me if they think that the top cover of an ATI fixture is strong enough to support it's own weight? Would I need to install the brackets at the far end of the ATI fixture or would the middle of the fixture be strong enough?

I don't own an ATI fixture so I can't determine this myself. Thanks.

Has this set up stood up to the test of time? I just got an Aurora Hybrid that weighs 26lbs. 6 more than the ATI. Do you think it could support that extra weight? Customer service from aquaillumination gave me the standard "we do not recommend" reply when I emailed them.
