Mantis Id?
Just picked up a mantis today,I wanted a peacock, and was told this was peacock, color seemed a bit off but it was hard to tell in the lighting. Now I'm thinking it is ternatensis. What are your guy's thoughts?

So I ended up returning him/her. I came to the conclusion that it was definitely G. Tern from the Orange lines separating the green back 'plates', the Orange meral spot, orange eye stalks, as well as the pattern on the side of the dactyl/arm. The owner of the store still believes it was an O. Scyllarus, because there is no possible way that the marine biologists at his wholesaler can be wrong. It's really unfortunate, but I am glad he returned my money even though I brought the creature home, most LFS would not normally do that

Any idea what distributor it came from? In my experience the ones in LA just label it a peacock if it's green.

Thank you so much dr. Roy! My LFS owner contacted me and told me that he talked to you, and said that you enlightened him on the fact that this mantis was not an O. Scyllarus!
