Bi-color blenny picking at corals

Hello,

So I know "reef safe" isn't 100%, but I've read that blennies might pick at coral because they are underfed. I feed him every night some reef cuisine or other food (he seriously loves that reef cuisine). I'm guessing it might be best to move to twice a day. However, I leave early in the morning for work and he's usually not out yet at that time. Any thoughts on how to satisfy his hunger or a way to feed him if I leave very early in the morning?

I found out the hard way that bicolor blennies like to take bites out of corals, especially out of the smooth underside of acropora.
And that's not just a few bad apples but the whole bunch of them.

Further to that, seems that like a lot of blennys they develop a taste for supplementary nipping - irrespective of how much other food they’re given. JME

Booo. I really like him. And he’s damn near impossible to catch. My “hunt” with a fish trap is going on day 3. The wrasse on the other hand... catch her every day. Haha

I caught mine with a barbless mini hook and rehomed him to another tank with no corals.

When looking to get a blenny I went went with a tail spot since they are algae eaters.

If you put a barnacle shell in the tank the blenny will likely adopt it as his home. At that point just remove the shell with the blenny inside.
