You wont have to wait long. I plan to have water in it today at some point. And everything switched over by tomorrow. Just 10's from my old system going over for now. Will drill the 15's as I need them. That brute container seen in the pictures has about 100 to 150 lbs of rock in it. I plan on hooking that up to the new system. Should eliminate any cycling. I also have about 100 to 150lbs in the old sump I will be moving over to the new sump as well as the DSB from the old system. The DSB never did anything for me WC wise, but should help the new systems cycle.

The only thing I am waiting on is a pump. Trying to go internal and am looking for one local. if I can not find one in the next few hours, I plan on drilling and using a new spare iwaki I have. Just want to use an internal as it will help with heating as I am up in the artic north. Well almost!

Awesome work! Sorry I didn't have a mag-9.5 for you. How did the scrubber work out for you? It seems like it would be relative to the number of watts of light used. Not sure how many are required though.

Scrubber wored really good. With the wider sump. i plan to have a bigger one on this setup. no worries on the pump. i drilled for my iwaki external. this thing is really quiet compared to the little giant on the other setup. i have about 60 gallons of nsw in the sump' i should have another 50 by 11 tonight. switching things over tomorrow barring any issues...

Nice setup. We have a person on our local board that bought a huge display setup and is breeding like 8 pairs. Its an interesting read about the progress of raising clowns

Looks great man. I might have to pick your brain on some of this stuff. I hate the wires under my three broodstock tanks. Such a mess.

I have a few questions for you if you have some time to answer them..

1. What size bulkheads worked best for you on the 10 gallon tanks?
2. What return pump are you using?

I only ask because I am wanting to do a set-up like this for my freshwater breeding I do, and am lost on what size bulkheads to use. I was wanting to run 4, 10 gallons in series, but that is as much as I know right now. Eventually I want to run this system for my coral frags....

water heating

Very nice looking setup, well thought out,

I have had the best results with good heaters in the sumps, eliminates the danger of cracking heater tubes. Get the best heaters you can find and use them, I used several , just to avoid problems.

Any updates?
Im setting u a similar looking setup for my emergency tanks, hospital tanks and quarantine tanks, 10 x 2ft tanks, each one can be isolated from the main sump etc.
I would be really interested in some close up pictures of your drain system into the sump as well as your return plumbing.
Nick
