I like the maroon!
I had two clowns in my tank and two BT Anemones and neither clown payed any attention to either anemone.

RVANANO's 300 peninsula reef build
I'm gonna place an order for a Hot Tub Time Machine and Check this out after 5-10 years of growth. It's going to be TOTM candidate by then for sure.
Would you be willing to post a current livestock list? |

Brandon the tank looks awesome. Good looking growth and that awesome scape is paying off big time as everything starts to grow in. It's obvious how careful you've been when placing coral.

Thanks!! I am amazed at how quick many of the colonies are growing now.

We are considering an eel and it seems like a golden dwarf might be the way to go. We only have the one long time member cleaner shrimp and no crabs. Could anyone provide actual experience on this? Seems they are reef compatible in larger systems.
TIA.

No advice for you until more pics. It's been like 7 months. You are way under your quota!

I have been so busy that I haven't even taken any. I really need to clean it first for new photos and I am overdue a major water change. Life has gotten in the way since my son started taekwondo and preschool. And since I was banned from forums at work. I have almost no internet time at home now
It's odd that my levels have been great and some coral colonies are getting huge yet a few others have died off with no real apparent reason. No pests etc.

2 more pair of T5's on now. That top center colony is massive now. And it's the phone making the cabinet look bowed not the actual wood.

Looking good, looks like you've got some great growth in a few colonies as you've noted.
Sad to hear your forum time is restricted to non-work hours. If not at work on break I'd never be on here. |

Thanks! That was the only time I was active on forums period. My productivity is exactly the same at work so I really don't see the issue. And I still hate touch screen phones so can't do it that way either.

I was going to say "or at night on my phone before I fall asleep" but the whole no touch screen phone thing rules that out lol

I finally broke down and decided to go LED. It was time to replace the MH bulbs and the heat has been a little over the top.
Ordered two Kessil AP700's. Will see how I like them..

I think you'll really like them. After having used MH, and T5s, my LED fixture was my favorite.

I plan to keep at least 4 of the T5's. I can't wait to ditch all those ballasts, the wiring, the heat and even the extra plugs being used for the current LED moon lights. Power bill will likely drop too.

I love my LED + T5 Combo but I've never had MH. I use mine in the same style someone using T5&MH would, my T5's come on at 9 AM, my LEDs come at noon (no ramping) and then off at 6 PM, T5's shut off at 9 PM.
I'm just running 2 5ft Coral Plus bulbs over my 180 though. |

I had 6 AI SOL over my 300DD. I think you will really like the leds. I never used t5 lighting with the leds because you can just turn on the blues if you want. Also when you want to take pics turn off your blues.

I was about to buy the Radion 360w's and was dreading having to get 3. Seems I can get away with 2 AP700's so fingers crossed. Worst case, I can get a 3rd later and run them width ways instead of length ways.
