Hydra 52 LEds.

If my math is correct. At 12 hours a day my hydras should last 15 years give or take. Is that correct???? Says they last between 50,000 and 100,000 hours. I went with the middle 75,000.

Perhaps in a perfect world.

That being said, my pair of AI Sol Blues are alive and well at 6+ years. Settings are 45W/65B/65RB on 12hours/day with minimal ramp up/down

Do they publish a lumen maintenance number for that time frame?
Is that actual data based on accelerated lifespan tests from that fixture (unlikely) or just taken from the LED manufactures lifespan data?
Is the rating based on a certain ambient and power level that you do not exceed?
,etc...
etc...

In general I wouldn't count on an LED fixture lasting that long or more specifically I wouldn't expect it to last that long without potential lens discoloration and/or other diode depreciation that will yield a potential lumen loss of 70% or more and measurable spectral shift..

Working and working how it did when you first bought it are 2 different things
