EcoTech Marine Radion XR30w LED

They just announced this today, in the vendor section.

120v fixture
34 LEDs
Full Spectrum
Fully Adjustable
Communicates with Pumps
Sunrise Sunset Clouds
Cree and Osram LEDs

I myself will be ordering this, will be using these lights for my current build that I am doing. They make great pumps, i can not wait to see their LED system.

Just curious, why would you want your light fixture to communicate with your pumps?

A distributor is making the announcement? I saw ecotech file for a trademark back in march but they haven’t said anything after that.

Night Mode, storm mode, lunar cycles, etc, etc. Trying to replicate natural currents according to the "weather" or "time of the day" I guess.

I don't know. You can already program the night mode without that feature. Lunar cycles.....tanks should be in darkness at night, no moon lights at all. Storm cycle...eh just seems like bells and whistles that may seem cool to us but will do nothing for the tank.

That said, very curious to see this fixture!

Not everyone have top notch controllers.
Seem like these LEDs will offer more then a normal LED system would, but information is limited now.

I hope they get release soon, only thing i need for my new build.

I'm just guessing. Also, lunar cycles are very important in reefs so why not recreate that in our tanks?

Just through my own searchings and readings it looks as though moonlights do more harm then good.

Nice! Perfect timing. I want 8.

If they are anything like my vortechs then I'm sold already.

I'm glad to hear this. I was looking forward to this and now I can't wait to see how it looks like and what the cost will be.

My hopes are aesthetically pleasing unlike current offerings and interchangeable LEDs so we aren't stuck with the same old cool white/blue/royal blue combo.

One thing about Ecotech that makes them one of the best.

Parts, you can go to their site and order any parts you may need or want.
Every part is listed on their site, you could actually make the whole pump itself.

I am sure the LED system will be no different. I am very excited about this product.

I have a question. The Radion says full spectrum. Are most LED fixtures full spectrum? I was under the impression that an LED can only put out a single or very few wavelengths of light.
