Anybody with Salifert MAG test kit and accurate scale

My salifert magnesium test kit is missing the spoon for reagent #2. It was likely thrown away with a shipping box by accident. heavy gallon containers of CACL, MGCL and Na2CO3 aren't too friendly to salifert paper boxes when poorly packed. If anybody is able to weigh out a scoop of #2 on an accurate scale, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure who is to blame for the missing spoon- Me for not thoroughly checking the box under the flaps, Salifert for their joke of a package(not even plastic wrapped!), BRS for the sub standard packing job or UPS for the rough handling. I have a reloading scale that is accurate down to the tenth of a grain(.0065 gram). I wouldn't mind using my scale if the weights are feasible.

Not sure if it will help, but the spoon measures .05ml.

I'm pretty sure all their little spoons are the same size - just "borrow" from another kit, clean it before and after use, and hang on to the old pieces parts when you get your next kits!

With my mild hording tendencies, I keep all the spoons and syringes from used up test kits. I probobly have close to 20 spoons. I can confirm that all the spoons seem to be the same.

If reagent 2 is the dye, the amount isn't particularly critical. That'd be the last reagent added, I believe.

If you are unable to borrow a spoon from another kit PM your address and I can mail you one if you'd like. I have a spoon from a mag kit I'm not using.

Thank you very much for the offer top shelf! I may just have to take you up on that!

Assuming the info provided by homer1475, one scoop should perfectly hold one drop of water. There are ~20 drops per ml so 1drop=.05ml. I will check later to see if the spoon provided by boyd chemiclean powder is possibly the same size... if not, I'm pm'ing ya top shelf!

Edit: Also, thanks for all the input and advice from everybody who replied. Everything is helpful and steering me in the right direction!

Hmm, interesting. I used to think, when I was younger, that you could pick up grams at random.
