Constant failing to write OS to Ecosmart driver

I've had a pair of MP10s running great for years and all of a sudden yesterday, one stops with 4 LED indicators lit and no dial color. No controls work so I've been trying to reset and rewrite the OS via the Reeflink through the update driver function.
It always gets to about 2/3rds and then does a steady green dial (no flashing LEDS) and then a quick red dial, then back to flashing green and blue with LEDs for a brief second then back to a 4 LEDS and no dial color and Ecosmart screen saying failed.
Have tried about 10x already with the same result, is the driver bad?
