That's cool, I wish her good luck with her project!
There is a guy looking for like 20 clown babies on the Anemone and Clownfish forum, I told him to look you up. If he hasn't if you're interested check out the thread and see if you can sell him some of your selects. He's being quoted 40-50 bucks each which is ridiculous.

Thanks, figuring out what to do with all the fish is definitely a concern.
I really do like the clownfish harem tanks, I gave six fish to my buddy for a mini harem. |

I put on a small hang on back filter today. Has a sponge over the intake to keep them from getting sucked up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm feeding the 6 week old guys a combo of TDO B1 and TDO B2. Feeding the older ones New Life Spectrum A, although I could probably feed something bigger so I'm open to suggestions.

First Ocellaris Fry
Rough fish day.
I went to turn the light on in the morning and saw that about a third of the little guys were on the bottom, tipped a little to the side and gasping for breath. The Amonia badge was ok, but I knew they needed a big water change. I changed 4 gallons (40%) which is all I had. Put another airstone in, and measured the NO3. It was off the chart! Never saw one that color before. Also, I thought I'd just splashed water around, but after cleaning up, I notice the other 10 gallon tank is leaking slowly! I started mixing another batch of saltwater, and went off to Petco for a bigger tank. They were all still alive but struggling, so now I had another 5 gallons of saltwater ready and I changed all 5 (50%). I took the better part of the day to mix and heat water for the new tank. I acclimated them and got them transferred in by evening. This morning they're looking tons better. Lost three fish, but could have been much worse. Should have gotten them into a bigger tank sooner. Crazy day! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The father is Ocellaris (orange and white), and as they get older they will darken to become "Mocha" color. It may take 12-14 months before they arrive at the final color. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some people think certain foods can improve the color, but mostly it's genetics.

I've been fighting nitrates in my grow out tank. It's hard to get them below 50. I'll probably end up making a sump with rock and a skimmer, but until then I made a diy filter. I found a video by the "DIY King". You fill a water bottle with broken rock or media of your choice. Drill a hole for airline in the neck of the bottle and mount it on a sponge. I seeded with some bacteria in a bottle.
Will let you know if it helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
