Oooh! I love red goniopora. They aren't all that common. Did you get a baby from another reefer?

It is hard for me to say, as I'm not a Mandarin expert. However, I did read your comments that they are getting along just fine now, which is what we discussed about a week ago.

i just got this sump. i need to find a way to house it. i think it is to big to go under my tank. so i may try to build a cabinet fore the side of my tank.
the sump is 24" but this thing extends out 8" then i have to install a pump.

i am turning the middle section into a refugium. i installed a acrylic sheet to block the 2" bottom gap.

but there is a small gap still can i fill it with silicone aquarium sealant?

You can try. It doesn't bond to acrylic, so it may leak slowly.

i just want to stop the fine sand or mud in the refugium from seeping into the return
the sump is solid and will not leak. it is the refugium that i want to keep contained.
does this make sense?

Yes, it makes sense. If you can't get a good seal at the bottom, use a small strip of acrylic to fill that void. You'll cover it over with sand anyway. Get it water tight, using Weld-On and acrylic as necessary.

Try any place that sells acrylic, plastics, or even glass. HobbyLobby sells an acrylic solvent in a bottle.
