Unknown protein skimmer

Just picked up this used protein skimmer for a 75 gallon reef my wife and i are setting up. I have zero clue as to who made this skimmer, or how it is supposed to function. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

It looks like an older Aqua Medic Turbofloater skimmer.

Turboflotor T-1000!! Finicky SOB, always hard to tune, but I used one for many many years. I upgraded the RIO pump to something else (dolphin maybe?) but liked the RIO performance much better. I'm sure you could rig an even better pump on there nowadays.

Yup turboflotor 1000... used it for a year or two on my 92g bowfront. Worked fine so should be good for your tank. There are numerous mods that can be done. I started with a mesh mod. Then I used a hole bit and drilled out the skimmer cup pipe and used epoxy to glue on clear pipe from an old gravel vac to increase its size. Then I actually drilled out the side and turned it into a recirculating skimmer fed by the drain pipe. Frankenstein! Eventually I was offered an octopus ext 160 for 75$ and got rid of the t1000.
