Need too add 1.5 inch to my stand.
Need to add an inch and a half plus to the width of this stand I picked up. 72x18 and my tank is 72x 20-3/4. Can I just add another frame to the back? (2x6 top and 2x4 bottom and sides). Figure I can just screw to the existing frame. This stand seems to be built using the popular blueprnt most of us have seen.

Post a pic to be sure, but should be ok, I would probably add ply on top afterwards to tie it all together and make a perfect surface.

I would just put a plywood overlay on top of the existing stand to fit the tank. It will raise the height a little.

Another frame should work. Orr plywood overlay, but if doing this be sure to center the overlay/tank, so you're only overhanging 3/4" on either side.
