Just read through your thread and amazing build. You make DIY LEDs seem so easy! I agree with not having just a simple background. Here's a great thread of someone who tried their own version of the picture you posted:

Sorry guys it has been a bit since i have posted. Everything is going well. I have just put in 2 Koralia 1400's and 2 1050's. I figure these will do until i need a lot more movement. I also purchased a little live rock and placed it in my bubble traps in my sump just for some added bacteria. The light is sufficient down there in the day. Also, i would like to get some macro algae down there.
I am letting any little bit of my tank cycle finish up. Also, have the guy in quarantine. He is eating excellent and dominates any seaweed or flakes with garlic i put in the tank. I also have feed him a little mysis every so often. Check him out The pictures do no justice. Most amazing fish i have every seen. Has an amazing personallity. Thanks for the post hamilton, i will read the rest later on. |

I put the LED Drivers into plastic tubs so no moisture will get to them Here are a few pics of how the LEDs are mounted in the canopy.. Here is my L-Chanel that the heatsinks are mounted on. |

Hello, I am currenlty gathering the pieces for a 180g. I was curious what your opinion is and your feelings on the SRO3000int that you have? I was planning on going with the same model, but did not know if I should spend the other $200 for the cone style or put the money into the cup cleaner instead.
TIA
