Back from the dead!
I’m regenerating a 1/2 gallon of Kolar Labs Bayoxide E33HC GFO at a time. I’m using a 4.5x10” refillable cartridge and a 10” Big Blue housing. How can you tell when it’s rinsed and do you think I could use tap to do the rinse? From what I’m reading I need to run about 25 gallons through it. My tap is filtered through 2.5cuft of catalytic carbon and is softened. I’m assuming I shouldn’t but worth an ask..

If your tapster is phosphate-free, it might be okay for rinsing, although I'd be cautious. When the pH of the rinse water is back towards neutral, that's probably good enough.

I would stop rinsing for a moment here. A rinse with a bit of vinegar might be appropriate. Do you have a TDS meter? The pH might be high due to the lack of any buffering and thus limited accuracy to the pH meter.
