Thanks Sahin,

A lot more to come now with the tank exchange!
I suffer from some sort of OCD and I will not ease my mind until I replace it!

I am super excited about this 100mm Macro ...

Thanks for pushing me to use the DSLR !!!

Hello thanks SPotter

The last coral ones were on a Canon 400D with Cannon 100mm Macro 2.8 usm

The fish ones and some of the previous coral ones are with the Canon 400D with a Canon 50mm 1.8 II

Setting was aperture priority set at 8, ISO 400, AF central point measurement and that's it

I then import to adobe lightroom to adjust the white balance and remove some noise.

But these are just my first photos as you can see from the rest of the topic. I am no expert. I just follow friends advise ...

All the best,
Rui

Since the camera lens and also all the concept of taking pictures to the aquarium is new ... I need to keep practicing

WOW... That is a beautiful FTS.

You have lots of growth room upward.

Thanks worm5406 ...
It was on purpose. The first layout way way to high.
This way I can let the corals define the layout.

All the best,
Rui

Thank you Dave.m ...
My maintenance is simple.
200l water change every 3/4 days with natural sea water.
I feed the fish and nothing else!
A large fuge with chaeto is enough to keep nutrients in check!

All the best,
Rui

Excellent work Rui. Health and colour of sps really shows. And the system is very simple in setup but worked out so effective.

Photography is getting to perfection

I have a few more gems I must send to you. The frags I received from you came very healthy and colourful.

Hello ,

Can this be the so infamous Walt Disney?

I bought it in a LFS in Portugal for 25€ and I have really high hopes for this one.

The mother colony had much more colour and was placed high in light and flow in the Display Tank. So a week ago I pushed up mine and I can see some of the colours starting to develop

I think it will take some time now ... i will keep track and update at least weekly with a Photo.

All the best,
Rui

You are too kind ... Thank you!

As for the picture skills ... these are just my first pictures with a decent lense and camera. I have a lot to improve still.

Meanwhile ...

With this new thing of taking photos to the aquarium I ordered a new toy

Mid February when I travel to US I will be able to bring it with me!

With this in mind I thought it would be difficult to raise and lower the ATI T5 fixtures everytime I want to take a picture and I decided I needed an lift for that!

After reading some topics, discuss with some Portuguese reef keeper friends and also Sahin I got to this design that will cost me 60/70€ to implement.

I will need a shade lifter, some octagonal tubing, some supports, a switch and 4 rollers and I should be fine.

This week I am out of the country working but the next one see if I can start implementing.

All the best,
Rui
