Breakout box I/O - where's the output?
The breakout box is marketed as a I/O device, yet all the uses I have seen use it only as an input - switch, buttons, sensors, etc
Is there a way to programmatically turn off one of the channels, so for example a 12v light can be turned on and off? I would like to put a small indicator light somewhere near the tank that quickly shows any warnings/issues. |

Probably a bit of a misnomer on some of their marketing stuff.
The breakout box only allows the Apex to see the state of a switch. It does nothing else. The Apex can take action based on the state of the switch but by itself won't do what you want. I could envision the state of a switch being used to power an outlet on a EB either on or off, which coupled with the appropriate light would do what you want. |

OP, as Kurt suggests for example, I have a reed switch on both of my cabinet doors that are connected to a BOB. When my programming sees a particular switch status change, I turn on an outlet on my energy bar that has a 12V light strip... Simple.
