These are the last pictures of this section of this tank.
It was long overdue and needed a makeover. Last edited by glennf; 08/30/2016 at 05:29 PM. |

Work in progress
I removed a branch invested with invasive zoanthids sp. Because i needed the branch i spayed the pest zoanthids with 10% caustic soda an left it there for a few hours. After that i used the highpressure washer to remove the waste. I used a facemask all the time Happy Reefing, GlennF |

Of course, living in the US means the doctors thought I was crazy mentioning the poisoning and sent me home saying I had the flu. Afterwards they billed me $1700 lol |

I avoid close contact and the aerosols. That is why I worked outdoors, used a facemask, sprayed it with caustic soda and ran away leaving it stand for hours. I think the caustic soda may have neutralize the toxine, which i believe is an organic compound. Anyhow i use the pressure cleaner long time after all zoa's ha become mush... I also stand upwind when i used the pressure cleaner. Happy Reefing, GlennF |

Oh, no! A gap! I see a gap! You must fill it with corals immediately!

After removing the invasive zoa's with caustic soda, I reused the reefbone to place some more exclusive acropora species. THIS IS THE NEW SCAPE I WILL DO WITH FOR A LITTLE WHILE. Happy Reefing, GlennF |

My way of reefkeeping still make people frown their eyebrow. The thoughts: Impossible Stupid To much work Why bother? To expensive Obstinate Displeased Controversial Etc.. I don't realy care about that. I care about results.... I thinks it's a frogskin acropora ... Happy Reefing, GlennF Last edited by glennf; 09/11/2016 at 02:29 PM. |
