New Ecotech MP60 Issues
Just received this yesterday.
24 hours later the dry side fell off (thank gosh I was hanging the wire) and the wet side wouldn’t turn/spin by hand, hard as a rock. I just took the wet side apart following their utube video instructions and here is what I found - looks nothing like the video and you can clearly see some broken pieces. So frustrating to spend all this money and have it last 24 hours. This is also using the correct sleeve for up to a 3/4” glass, I suspect the thin sleeve which is rated for 1” would cause too much friction with the impeller and create unnecessary heat in the water but even then I would not expect it to do any such damage, but that’s just a guess. I’ll have to call them on Monday. I can’t seem to catch a break with their products. |

That sucks man. On the bright side, echotech will take care of it. They just replaced my M1 even though it was out of warranty. They have great customer service

Dang dude... you are having some crazy bad luck! I swore I was the only one who got the defective stuff so other people didn't have too...

The white gel looking substance, is that some sort of lubrication?
