Upgrading Tunze 6045 to Wide Flow
I have the Tunze 6045, the older style that isn't controllable, that I want to change the propeller housing to wide flow. Would I be able to swap it out directly if I bought the Tunze 6095.130 and 6080.200?
Also, would the Tunze 6045 work well with the wide flow? |

It won't work well. The basic issue is that the AC pump rely on a physical stop in the front cover to correct direction, the 6095 housing won't be able to stop a backwards spin so the prop will often get stuck spinning backwards and may even just shoot out of the pump.

Roger, can the 6055 have the wider housing ??
looking at a pair of 6055 for my 58g 3ft tank, not sure if it would help disperse flow better, or not needed. i have 2x6095 on my 120 tank for years, they work great,

Yes, this will work. I used to have a 58 though and I felt the 6055's were perfect as is.
