brs MAG additive
I just got the general maintenance mag pouch. I mixed it up and let it sit but the reef calculator on their site doesn't have a option for the general maintenance just two part. how do I know how much to put in here to bring my levels up? or just do small increases

Choose "Liquid Magnesium Mix", then in the next drop down choose "New Pharma Pouch".
It's still their normal 2 part mag mix, it just has the 2 parts(magnesium sulfate, and magnesium chloride) are pre mixed for you. You just add the entire contents to 1 gallon of RO/DI.

It's hard to know exactly what's in the mixes. The two-part magnesium supplement might have some more sulfate in it, to make up for the sodium added by the alkalinity parts. Both should be fine, but the independent supplement might keep the ionic balance a bit closer to normal seawater. You can use the same calculator entry for either supplement, most likely. Do they give concentration information at all?
