getting back into the hobby

Hi guys,

moved out of Korea and finally getting back into the hobby.

need advice on the following items if people can chime in:

lights:
Aquatic Life LED Aquarium Light Fixture (inch wifi)

Tank is 48 inches (75 gallon) wide so would I be better off with two of these or two 36s? Or even two 24s?

powerheads
Sicce Voyager 2 Power Stream Pump, 800gph

Seems decent, not overkill

Have not decided on a skimmer yet, any suggestions that work decent and wont kill me financially?

Thanks!

SuperX

Skimmer any used one will probably do the trick. They really are fairly simple devices. Get on your local forum and see what you can get for 100$ probably something great.

Thanks...no local fish forum in Hawaii that I have found yet.

There are only two skimmers on craigslist here, one is way too big and won't fit into my sump, the other is a Corallife (?) model that I am not fond of or familiar with.

Tank is 75 Gal, single overflow, with small sump down below. I might make a small refugium since I do have plenty of space down there.

Had the Coralife for years, many reefers hate them, I have had no problems.

will post some tonight. Skimmer and sump pump coming in, plan to fill tank tomorrow and get it cycling.

considering a HOB refugium for ease of use:

Thoughts?

refuge needs to be sizeable to add any value, in my opinion HOB are usually quite small

Not exactly a work in progress. I usually get stuff done then forget to take a pic!
