Question 🍔👍sea serpant/brittle star attack trigger👍🍔

I have two baby trigger and a baby porc puffer, I'm interested in sea serpants and brittle stars, since the triggers sleep trigger in under the rocks is there a good chance that those inverts will attack them.

Wish there was a definite answer for you. My personal experience is that I have had green serpent stars that were model citizens and I had one that was Michael Myers. You might wait until the triggers grow a bit. When they get some weight not much is going to bother them.

Depending on the size of your triggers, I expect it is more likely that the triggers will kill the stars than the other way around.

never heard or read of a serpent killing a trigger or puffer. I think you would be fine.

IME, you have it backwards - serpent stars have never bothered anything in my tanks, and i have quite a few in my 60g reef, with the exception of the (large) red serpent. Ditto with the micro brittle stars. Not so much, however, with the green brittle stars - mine was evicted several years ago and now lives with my 4' moray

+1. I had a green brittle star that grew to 18" that taught me that they DO eat fish. He ate 2 clownfish, a rainford's goby, purple firefish, and a flame hawk before I figured out who was doing it.

I'd be careful about making blanket statements about serpent stars vs. brittle stars. a Google Image Search for both resulted in both smooth and 'hairy' specimens for each list of results.

I'd say that it's more about the size than the specimens.

Well I do not trust green brittle stars but I do not remember if I had a bad experience with them; it has been many, many years ago.
