were can you find aqua cultured fish
i prefer to buy all tank raised corals and fish for my tank. i don't think i should f**k with nature for my veiwing pleasure.
I recently bought 2 babby bangeye cardnials off a friend of a friend that were tank raised and they are awsome. I would like to buy more fish but it seems the only aquacultured fish out there are clowns. if anyone knows af a place with a good selection of aquacultured fish let me know. Or if you your self have somthing intresting that youtank raised let me know |

Sailfin in Champaign has a few fish that are "aquacultured", but that seems to vary a bit. There are not many fish that are really tank bred, save for the clowns, cardinals, and some dwarf angels. I think the tangs and such they sell as aquacultured are caught when very young, maybe some larval stage or something, and then raised in captivity. The only thing that I found odd was that they were selling to 6" convict tangs that were labeled as such, and I don't understand why any wholesaler would keep a fish for so long.

Dwarf Angels are not available on the retail side as captive bred. Captive reared, yes, but not bred.
Sailfin is well known locally for "mis-labeling" captive bred fish and reptiles. |
