extra blue

Has anyone switched out the stock 10k light in their biocube and run 2 36w actinic lights with a white LED only?

I want a BTA or Frog Spawn and want them to live happy lives but dont have the extra money to buy a $200 light system yet. Figured this might be the trick?

yeah, stock is fine for frog spawn but BTAs need more blue and higher intensity so i was curious of someone has done that to raise BTA

Some people add in True Lumen strips to supplement the lights. They are a lot nicer than the old style BC LED highlight lights.

You cans witch the CFL bulbs out as you wish in the old style BCs.

I replaced my stock lights in my biocube 14 with 1 white and 1 blue True Lumen 12" Strip. I have another 12" Blue strip I purchased on its way and should be arriving tomorrow. I felt like I needed to add more light.
