Zoanthus pulchellus
Finaly got one of these guys. They're from the Caribean, and I guess they don't show up too often. A friend of mine has a large colony he has had for 10+ years and I finaly got him to give me a frag. Not the most beautiful zoa species out there, but it more than makes up for it in how cool it is.

Yeah, that was about half way open so you could see the polyps and the mat.
Here they are mostly all the way open: And closed:

They're maybe a little smaller than a dime.
When I say "frag", I may be a little misleading, as the whole piece is somewhere between a golf ball and a baseball.

You always have cool stuff. Your tank is looking good. My new one still looks ruff. Can you recommend a fan for the hood?

I used 4" AC fans from Radio Shack. They're like $20 each, but they're quiet, last forever and you don't need AC adapters for them.
I'll grow you some out on a piece of rubble

That's not zoanthus pulchellus. It's palythoa caribaeorum.
