Cover for rimless tank to protect for jumpers?

I've seen what BRS sells. I'm wanting some of them awesome wrasses, but not wanting them to surf my wood floor.

Tank is a rimless cube, and I'd like to keep it as minimally disturbing to the visuals as possible. BRS screen/frame my best bet? Not even sure howI'd secure that. As it is, I'd have to sew the screen together because the tank is 36x37"

I did the vinyl window screen kit w/ bird netting on mine.
I made it inside the rim dimensions so it tucked in flush, and used some clear tank lid clips to hold it.
I'll search for pics.

Exactly. And the wrasses are well worth it.

Thanks, older tanks.
A friend in our local reef club made them for me, just a HD screen frame kit and bird netting.

Thanks, although even w/ 1/4" birdnetting I lost a pair of helfrichi's that somehow both managed to get through the 2nd night I had them.

Sounds cool in theory, but have fun trying to stretch that stuff straight and tight w/ just one layer, let alone two.
There's a reason I let a friend build that for me, not that I can't, but there are too many neighbors children w/in earshot!LOL

My main point on the rimless is most build the frame to sit on top, but if you inset inside the perimeter and use clear clips, you still maintain that sexy rimless look.

Where did you get the tank lid clips?

The clips were just stock clips from Current, they come w/ their Solana's.
I'm sure there are other places that have them as well, just clear tank lid clips.
I wonder if an acrylic supplier might carry something similar for shelving or something?

Awesome, doing a 130 gal rimlesss build as we speak, do you think this would keep the jumpers in and an inquisitive cat out as well?

I'm making a custom acrylic top for my rimless. I have one piece that's the exact size of the tank, and then another piece that's the similar in size but I subtracted the thickness of the glass on both sides so it creates a lip of a sort. Screw them together, drill some holes for ventilation and you've got yourself a nice looking lid.

Exactly how I did it too. Many people never even noticed the screen until I pointed it out. Or they'd get half way through "How do you keep fish from.....Oh, I see."

I put a screen in artisanal condition (wood piece on each side to put the screen...not very well ...) But when i have to give food or put my hand into the tank i just have to push 1 wood to have access.

How do you give food or work into the tank? Any advice without take away the net screen?

PS: unfortunately a very bad news 3 days ago... my attenuatus flasher wrasse pass away... even with the net, he jump on the return section protection when i not at home... and don't find the solution to return into water... So sad :/ he broke my heart.

I am looking to DIY rimless cover. Question: Is it not a concern that the aluminum frame may corrode? I was thinking that it would be better to use a plastic frame but I can't find it anywhere.
