New EB8 Fourth one is not stable

I added a fourth EB8 to my system and got the light to be stable (green). When I move my lights (two) from other EB8s the system will sometime run fine then the new EB8 starts to flicker on-off (yellow green) and tank lights flicker till I shut the lights off. Can you please advise on what could be the cause. Thanks

Have you updated the firmware on the new EB8? Have you tried a different Aquabus cable and or tried switching the Aquabus ports? What is the total distance between the base unit and the last EB8? I don't recall when the cable length limit is but if you are using really long cables, that could be part of the issue. Especially is the total length is over 75'. is this a new EB8 or did you possibly buy somebody else headache?

If it were me, the first thing I would do is update the EB firmware. Then I would trouble shoot the aquabus cables and try switching ports. Also, make sure you didn't name the outlets with the same names as the previous outlets when you moved the lights from one EB to the next. Having multiple outlets with the same name will cause issues.

Thanks Slief: Here is what I know: EB8 is bought brand new as a spare and has been in it's box for about a year... Distance is about 3 feet for now may end up closer to 6-8 feet (not sure yet).
I have not updated the firmware and do not know how so maybe I will google it or if you have a place where I can go to look it up, with my thanks
I moved the bus #3 port/socket 7 to new bus #11 port/socket 7 and same from bus #10 to new bus #11 socket #8.. All cables are brand new from the Neptune box and all are short cables

Updating the modules is very easy. Just go to the modules page using the classic Web browser assuming this is not an apex 2016. You get to that by typing in the IP address of the apex on your local network. On the configuration tab go to modules. Select the correct EB8 from the pulldown. Select update firmware. Then hit submit.

If you have an apex 2016, you can do the same from fusion.

Thanks Slief... I had a call into Neptune and they are helping reboot the system and make some unknown re-configuration that is greatly appreciated. We are checking to see if things tomorrow and for a few days will continue to be stable I will be plugging same lights tomorrow for testing. THANKS

I tried to update OS and all my graphs are blank in my Aquacontroller-Apex. Graphs are OK in the Apex Fusion. Not sure if I updated anything or just screwed up my graphs . Any advise as to how to recover my graphs and then redo updates .. Apex pictures 5-29-2017.jpg

The update may have wiped out the historical data and fusion may cache that info. As such, give it 24 hours (maybe less) and see if the graphs rebuild. When you did the update, did you do the 2nd step and update the www files? That is important and that could be why you don't see the graphs.
