Got it painted. I'm really happy with it. Probably going to add a piece of thin plywood to cover the top.

I couldn't drill any holes into the wall or ceiling so I made this.

Conduit works great. Second photo is after adding the Royal Blue multichip supplemental LEDs.

Used metal conduit and bolted it to the stand. Then hung the Reefbreeder Photon 48 by its rigging.

I ran a track with RapidLED's hanging kit attached to flat aluminum stock that slides within the track to move the lights over for maintenance. Really gives the floating appearance I was after the wires are very thin. You have to look closely to see them

Some great ideas in this thread!

I just hung my fixtures with their wire hanging kits around a strip of pressure treated wood screwed into the inside top of my canopy. Then I was able to adjust them left/right and angle them the way I wanted. I mounted the strip slightly towards the front so I could angle the light back and away from the front glass. Has helped to reduce growth of any kind there.

I mounted mine in the lid of my canopy. For this reason, I had to get fixtures with nothing mounted on their tops, i.e. cords, controlls, etc.

After seeing this thread I realize how disgusting my lights are! I hung mine from plant hangers but didn't want to drill into the wall so attached them to a 2x4 that comes up the backside of my tank. I will be improving the astetics of my tank very soon!!!

Let's see how everyone hangs their lights.

Finally got mine finished. I bent some 3/4" EMT and welded some brackets from some 1" steel strip from Home Depot.

That wouldn't be bad if you would straighten the lights, run the power cables up and over, cut the height of the 2x4s down and paint them.
