couldn't figure out how to change the resolution when posting- guess I'll have to do it before uploading. will be sure to post a few more as she gets acclimated to her new home, a 29 gal biocube for now while I cycle my 55 gal tank.

Very nice Peacock. Please try not to keep the light on for long periods of time ( look up shell rot and you will understand why). You can leave atinics on if you want but the whites will harm and stress the mantis out. Just an FYI if you want to keep her happy. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the advice! I put on the fluoro light for a brief photo op and then was guilty afterwards. Pretty sure I'm running a proper light set-up now though.

Also, I'm currently a biomechanics student and I plan on studying strike force using some load cells that I have access to through my lab at school. Hoping to get some good data within a couple months. I'll post it on here as my research progresses!
