I suggest downloading a Nook app on your mobile device and getting a copy of Joyce Wilkersons books called Clownfishes if you're serious about breeding clowns. She has some good info on breeding maroons. They aren't the easiest clowns to breed.
She recommends 40-55 gallon tank for a Maroon pair but I think you can get away with a 29 gallon tank. |

I was wondering does the clowns since they are custom breed could they over time inbreeding cause deformation?

My suggestion would be to start with clowns that are easier to breed -- particularly ocellaris or percula.

I have 2 breeding pairs of lightning maroon/white stripe maroon. Each pair are kept in a 20g tall tank and spawn onto tiles. Then I move the tiles to a 40g breeder to hatch.
