In general people use Weld-On (SciGrip) #3, #4, #16 and #40 for an acrylic solvent..
Each has its own uses/strengths..

If you provide more detailed information we can recommend one of those for you..
I don't know if you are building a tank with 1/8" or 1" or just adding pieces to an existing sump or what..
Details man... details..

Ok yes the details sorry

It's going to be a new sump I'd like to build it out of 10mm or 12mm
I'll be making the sump at 50cm high 124cm wide 64cm depth

Practice on scrap first.

#4 if you know what you're doing, #16 if you don't. #4 needs nice edges to work. #16 is thicker for bad cut edges but also looks worse at end. You may not care being a sump.

16 shouldn't be used for the assembly...proper edge prep and 4...

Yeah like they said above, Weld on #4 should do the trick. It takes a bit of practice at first but once you get it that stuff works like a charm.

Hi, sorry to hijack this thread. But I have a well stocked 225g acrylic aquarium that developed a small leak along the top where the 2 panels meet. What glue would work best and would i have to drain the whole aquarium to fix It? Thanks!

Yes you can use that one; I think that particular solvent has a shorter time window to work with. The 16 is more for quick mends but not recomended for structural or leak proof bonds, kid of to add/fix baffles. The 40 contains more solids (acrylic) and is more for repair work.
