AI Prime HD ?
Good morning. My new AI Prime HD is scheduled to be delivered today and this will be my first LED light fixture. My question is: When I add it to my aquarium, do I need to start the settings low and increase them daily? Right now all I have in the aquarium is a variety of Discosoma mushroom corals that prefer lower light levels. If I put the light on the tank at full strength could it possibly harm the corals? Thanks in advance.

Start with a low intensity. You can even shorten the photoperiod if you fear the light is way more powerful than what you have now.

Also, will LEDs raise the tank temperature?

No. In general LEDs run cooler than fluorescents. Many of the higher power LED units run fans to help cool the components which power the LEDs themselves (including the AI Prime HD). Neither the blubs nor the fixture will direct heat downward toward the water. T5HO with reflectors will.
